André Rieu’s concerts in cinemas have grossed over $65M in box office. In addition, he has sold over 40 million CDs and DVDs around the world and received more than 500 Platinum and 270 Gold awards for his unrivalled success. Known to millions as ‘The King of Waltz’, André Rieu is the world’s leading pop classical artist and consistently appears on the worldwide list of highest-grossing touring artists. André Rieu continually breaks the box office for music concerts in cinemas and is considered the godfather of Event Cinema.

The Franchise
On a yearly basis two concerts are produced exclusively for cinemas – a summer concert (from Rieu’s hometown Maastricht) and a winter concert (a Christmas or a New Year’s concert). This offer provides consistency which results in growth on average of 15% of the box office per territory per year to up to 30% growth in certain territories per year. With our ‘always on’ campaign and our access to Rieu’s social media channels there is a continuous dialogue with the fanbase allowing the campaign to be effective and targeted.

POM acts also as a co-producer working alongside André Rieu Productions.
